The event was held at Moscone West in San Francisco from December 6-8, 2021, and featured hybrid in-person and virtual activities to connect with a global audience.
On December 6th to 8th, De-RISC project was represented at RISC-V Summit 2021 to communicate the progress of the first RISC-V fully European platform. The main focus of this conference is on the RISC-V architecture in which this H2020 initiative is based on so this was a thrilling opportunity to share the development of the project.
RISC-V Summit 2021 brought together the open hardware community for three days of deep technical talks, industry updates, and networking in which RISC-V innovations span industries, organizations, workloads, and geographies were highlighted. During the event, attendees got the latest updates on RISC-V technology advancements and new implementations in different areas and domains.
De-RISC consortium played a key role at the event with two virtual lightning talks which covered the main aspects of the project. Paco Gómez, CEO at fentISS and project coordinator, gave a lecture presenting De-RISC and its latest technical updates, which was well received by the audience. Additionally, Stefano Ribes, design engineer at Cobham Gaisler, broadened the information giving more details about the implementation of the H extension and the resulting impact on parameters such as implementation complexity.
The consortium would like to thank RISC-V International for the organization of the conference and the whole community for hosting De-RISC project with such enthusiasm!
