De-RISC project gets presented at DASIA 2021

    Sep 28, 2021

DASIA is an annual conference organised by Eurospace since 1996 considered as one of the most important events in the space community. It gathers space data systems specialists over 3 days for presentations, workshops/panels and discussion. It provides opportunities for exhibitors and networking.

Last week, De-RISC representatives participated on the 2021 edition of the Data Systems in Aerospace (DASIA) Conference which took place virtually. From September 21st to 23rd, a great number of professionals from the aerospace domain attended this event which represents an unmissable opportunity for any company with a focus in this field.

DASIA is characterized by embracing technical and managerial aspects of development, operation and maintenance of data-handling related components and systems. It encompasses hardware and software for space and aircraft systems or systems for other sectors sharing similar requirements for high reliability and complexity.

The conference was organized in 2 tracks covering 60-70 presentations followed by Q&A’s in which participants had the chance to network with amazing experts in the aerospace field. Additionally, the conference included several keynote presentations from major companies in the area such as Airbus Defence & Space, the European Space Agency, ArianeGroup, or Thales Alenia Space. The event also included the exhibition of different companies, agencies and institutions.

During those 3 days, several other lectures were held and the De-RISC consortium was able to introduce the key aspects of the project to the audience. Paco Gómez Molinero, CEO at fentISS and coordinator of De-RISC, gave a 20-minute session explaining the potential of this H2020 to an audience of approximately 120 professionals. Audience was well-impressed with the lecture and they could also learn more about the hardware details of the project at Cobham Gaisler’s booth, which was also at the exhibition.

We are glad of having been part of this conference and to have shown De-RISC’s potential at one of the flagship aerospace events!
