The HiPEAC conference is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems.
Last week, De-RISC representatives participated in the 15th HiPEAC conference which took place in Bologna, Italy. From Monday 20 January to Wednesday 22 January, over 500 participants attended this event which represents an unmissable opportunity for any European tech company.
HiPEAC Conference organized workshops and tutorials related to embedded and general-purpose systems and gave attendants the chance to network with amazing experts in these fields. In this 2020 edition, keynote speakers such as Calista Redmond (Chief Executive of RISC-V Foundation) and Alessandro Cremosi (VP in STMicroelectronics) contributed to the success of the event with their captivating speeches.
During those three days, several other lectures were held and the consortium was able to introduce De-RISC in two sessions within the 8th Workshop on Mixed Critical Systems – Dependable Artificial Intelligent CPS in Continuum development: “New RISC-V Platform for Safety-Critical Applications” and “Towards a RISC-V based solution for Aerospace Avionics Applications”. Audience was well-impressed with these workshops and, during the poster exhibition, which ran in parallel with the conference, many interested participants approached to learn more about the project thanks to a design created specifically for this occasion.
HiPEAC 2020 was a great opportunity for De-RISC to be introduced to the industry and for networking with the European computing systems community. As a result, the project succeeded among many participants, but also caught the attention of an influential and relevant figure for the project: Calista Redmond, who personally took time to learn more about De-RISC with our project coordinator.
We are glad of having been part of this conference and to have shown De-RISC’s potential in such an amazing event!
See you next year!
