    Second progress meeting gets online

    Apr 22, 2020

De-RISC’s second progress meeting was held on the 16th and 17th of April via online due to COVID-19

The second progress meeting of the De-RISC project was supposed to take place in Barcelona on the 16th and 17th of April hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC), but in light of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the consortium decided to adapt the face-to-face meeting to an online version.

Even though consortium members were hoping to see each other face-to-face to review the project progress, the whole team successfully managed the situation and discussed the development of De-RISC until Month 7

During the session, Work Package leaders had the opportunity to share updates about achieved and on-going work in every group of tasks. The completion of some deliverables, the entire fulfilment of WP1, led by Thales Research and Technology, and the achievement of Milestone 1 were some of the main topics discussed in the meeting.

Representatives of the consortium also described the work to be performed in the following months, being WP2 and WP3 presented by Cobham Gaisler and fentISS as Work Package leaders, respectively. These two work packages are the core of the technical work of the project, and they are focused in the Hardware and the Software development respectively.

A big thank you to all the attendees for their hard work under these difficult circumstances. Next meeting is expected to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, during the month of July; however, the feasibility of attending this meeting in person will depend on the global updates related to the COVID-19 situation. We hope to see you face-to-face very soon!

    Stay home and stay safe.
